Berlin Tax Conversations
Berliner Steuergespräche e.V. (Berlin Tax Conversations)
Since spring 2002 the Voice of German Industry (BDI) and Pöllath %2B Partners (P%2BP) organize the Berlin Tax Conversations. Those serve as a forum for all those capital residents who deal with fiscal issues within their everyday business, be it from a political or a legal standpoint. The conversations’ declared goal is to enable a vivid exchange of experience and ideas between representatives of the political, economic, juridical, scientific and consultative sector: this is not meant to engage in navel-gazing but to reflect about legislative decision-making in Berlin and to investigate its influence on the common fiscal practical purposes.
To broaden the capabilities and sphere of influence of that initiative, the Berlin Tax Conversations e.V. was founded on December 2nd of 2002.
On February 27th of 2012 Prof. Dr. Roman Seer was elected as chairman of the Berlin Tax Conversations by its general assembly. He succeeded long-term chairman Prof. Dr. Dieter Birk from the University of Munster, who also previously functioned as headmaster of the Institute for Tax Law.
The board further consists of Mr. Michel Wendt, Judge at the German Federal Fiscal Court and Prof. Dr. Claus Lambrecht
The Berlin Tax Conversations usually take place at the Haus der Deutschen Wirtschaft (House of German Economy), Breite Straße 29, 10178 Berlin.
